Sports update

Basketball

In the NBA season all the coaches stumble across some major or minor problems that need to be resolved in order to achieve the most out of their team. Some quite interesting challenges are debated in the article on ESPN. There you can find some interesting challenges that coaches need to resolve or that could cost the team’s play and morale. There are some quite unusual questions that pop up when coaching a team, it is a great article, it deserves to bee read.

On CBS’s sports page you can read an article about the Warriors achievements, along whit the power ranking of the season. The Warriors are playing an interesting game, I don’t know how they do it but it’s almost funny how they can beat the first teams from the ranking but in rest they are playing pretty badly. I don’t know if it is a tactic or not, but if they want to get on the top they should start winning more often.

MSNBC has an interesting article about the game between Milwaukee Bucks and L.A. Lakers. It is a great article, you can find out a lot about Buck’s coaching and the player that lead the Bucks to the victory over the Lakers. The main character of the game was Redd who scored 45 points for the Bucks. He just pulled off a great game pulling the Bucks to victory.

Soccer

Real Madrid is confident that Beckham will stay, but it is a very bald assumption because if they won’t let him play he will not stay for long, and more important than that is his wife’s opinion about this, because in football, it is happens very often that a player’s wife decides where that player goes, whether they stay or not at a club. Anyway this is not entirely safe to say that Beckham will stay until he didn’t sign a contract. It is a great article though on MSNBC about this.

ESPN has a short but interesting article about the top FIFA award. It is about those who would deserve it and the ones who got it. Interesting article should bee read.

Thierry Henry who deserved it never even got into the final three short list, but anyway it isn't my call.

The improved Spurs just can’t be beaten, at least that’s the impression they gave us at the last games they played. They are just flying, they are not good, they are better than good. They prove that if you want something you can get it. They are the only team from the NBA that hasn’t been beaten on the road. This is a great achievement, and I don’t think that this will be their last win, because if they could stay unbeaten for 7 consecutive games I am sure that they will manage to win some more. Anyway for more information about the new rising team you should visit MSNBC’s sports page.

The Nuggets have a star that proved that if you have talent it doesn’t mean that you will be suddenly a great NBA player. J.R. Smith proved that some great players need some time to accommodate whit the NBA game style, and they will amaze you when they have found the tune of the NBA. He amazed the fans whit his play, I really think that he found his place in the game, and the Nuggets can be sure that he will score if he will have a chance. For more about this visit ESPN, or CBS’s sports page.

Soccer

The soccer world’s main story is Manchester U. tie whit Chelsea. The great showdown wasn’t that great as expected, because I don’t think that anyone wanted to see the tie between these two teams, the two teams that hold the first and second place in the premier league. Anyway the 1-1 is still better than a 0-0, and it was a pretty tensed game because the equalizer came in the 69th minute. However there was time for another they where pretty even on the pitch so it the score stayed leveled. For more opinions related to the game you should visit MSNBC or ESPN because they have great stories about the evolution of the two teams in the premiere league.

It is interesting to see that Atlanta Hawks are on the top, when I thought that they would be on the last place. I am surprised by how they managed to achieve such a great result; I must say that it is just stunning. I don’t know what to say about their performance this season, but I am pretty sure that they won’t be on the same place at the end of the season. Anyway if you want to hear the expert’s opinion you should visit ESPN.

The same team, Atlanta Hawks, has the first page on CBS’s sports page, there you can find another experts opinion about the teams boost.

The New York Knicks are just playing another game, they just can’t win a game on their own field, which is just sad, and they just lost it to the Cavaliers, on their own yard. I am just amazed how you can loose all the games that you played on your own field. If you are interested in the whole article you should read it on MSNBC.

Chauncey Billups is the main character of the article. It is interesting to learn what opinion he has about his team, and his own performance after watching the tape. He has some interesting opinions about what he should change in his playing style. He is a great player who is not ashamed to admit his weak points. Anyway, for more you should visit ESPN.

On CBS’s sports page you will find a article about this week’s ranking. It is full of surprises, but that is just great, because it will just spice up the games that shall come. At the top you can find the Spurs, followed by the Clippers and Utah Jazz. It started like a great season, whit great teams, and unexpected winnings, it will be exciting.

Some drastic measures are spreading in the NBA. You can now be eliminated for the simple cause that you have a different opinion than the referee had. This is great for referee’s, you can imagine a whole tutorial about each referee’s personality. Just imagine how great it would be to change the NBA rules, and instead of 4 quarters we would have 5, and the first one would be a short introduction, it could be done whit little sequences from past games, of the referee’s. In this way the players must have a acting license, so they would get in to the referee’s personality, that would be fun to se, or not. For more visit MSNBC.

I found a great article on MSNBC, about what should America do join the elite ranks in soccer. It is a great article but not quite true. America shouldn’t import names, like it is sad in the article, he should import young and talented players. He wouldn’t resolve anything by getting a player like Beckham. He is a great player but there are some better players than him, and they are younger and half as expensive. Anyway if you have one great player that won’t help you much if you don’t have a team that helps him.

Update

Basketball

The rankings that are showed on ESPN are pretty unexpected, but it is pleasant to see that the teams change I could say weakly, and that means it will be a great season because the teams must fight for their spot if they want to keep it, and do some “magic” if they want to advance. Anyway it is a great start, if it will have the same ending it will be an exciting season.

CBS’s sports page offers us a great report about the main games of the season, and it’s stars, and “battles”. As expected through the games, some quite big stars meet face to face, and it is just splendid watching a game where the teams are so balanced, in every angle, and where you see unbelievable shots, and blocks as well.

I am just stunned by the Lakers loss in favor of the Sonics, but I just knew that they had too many great players sent out so it is just expected to be a little out of shape. The coach had his hopes on the young talents but I am on the opinion that you need some great players who have some experience, not only talent because experience matters. Anyway I must admit that the Sonics played surprisingly this game, but I was expecting more from Lakers. For more you should read the article on MSNBC.

Soccer

West Ham had they victory over Arsenal, and the manager, Alan Pardew, had his celebration. The manager on the other hand wasn’t quite shy about showing his joy, even to the point where he offended Arsenal’s boss, Arsene Wenger. Anyway he apologized for his reaction, but he had a quite great motive to be happy, it’s a rare occasion, I hope he will just raise his team’s performance from now on. For more visit ESPN.

Basketball update

Basketball update

ESPN posted a great article about the players from NBA who will most probably take big steps forward. Every year we are surprised by a player who was in unanimity till the season, and then he just proves that he has more talent than a whole team. It is pretty hard to predict the name of this player because as I sad they are everywhere but in the same time nowhere, but they will shortly putt them talents in the net. Anyway there are some names that will be heard more and more if they continue their ascension.

I don’t know how you feel about the Knicks but they just blow it. I don’t know how you can loose a 19 point lead, what, you go to hibernate after you have the lead and just run around the opponents or I just can’t imagine. Anyway they just had a very poor game whit the Grizlies. I can’t imagine that how you could win a game by only 1 point when you had a 19 point lead. Anyway there is a interesting story on CBS’s sports page. The same story but a little bit softer critics is found on MSNBC’s page but it is still pretty weird how they lost a 19 point lead, that is unacceptable. That shows how weak is the team, that is sad that they just couldn’t handle all 4 quarters of the game, if they where dealing whit a better team than they would have lost for sure. Anyway I am on the opinion that the coach should get the team in shape for the next game
